The 2018 Traveling Tomato Show
Saturday, April 7th | 11:00am - 12:30pmFree
The Traveling Tomato Show is back to provide participants information about growing heirloom tomatoes. Registered patrons will receive 6 free packets of tomato seeds, including locally grown heirloom varieties ($25 value) and a free heirloom tomato seedling.
***New and exciting in 2018***
The tomato seedling variety will be Homestead, a vigorous old-fashioned red tomato that stands up to summer heat in the southern Appalachian states. Sturdy vines produce plenty of medium-size, 6 to 8 ounce slicers to eat fresh and put up for winter. They were bred for the south and introduced in Florida in 1953.
All events offered by the Laurel County Public Library are free to attend unless otherwise noted in the description above.
The library makes every reasonable effort to provide equal access to all patrons. Please call us at least three days in advance to request accommodations.
