Kaleidoscope Concert Series

Here at the Laurel County Public library we absolutely love live music of every kind, and we like to think that our Kaleidoscope Concert Series represents our passion for all genres of music. We’ve got an amazing line-up planned for 2017-18 that we think you’re going to really enjoy.

Terry Lee and the Rockaboogie Band

Our first event to kick off the Kaleidoscope Concert Series will be Terry Lee and the Rockaboogie Band. They’re known for bringing a high-energy, first class show and will perform a large selection of popular hits from the 50s and 60s and will provide the audience with “the wildest piano pumpin’ Rock & Roll Show since Jerry Lee Lewis!”

Thursday, August 17th @ 6pm

rePercussion

The second event features Nashville’s rePercussion, a duo of highly skilled and professional entertainers that has been pleasing audiences around the world.

They’re expert percussionists that incorporate an exciting, interactive performance of sight, sound, and laughter, while blurring the lines between electronic music, drum line, rock, and slapstick into a unique performance that must be seen to be believed.

Thursday, September 14th @ 1pm and 6pm

The 1pm session is a school performance with limited public seating. Doors will open at 12:30 pm and seating is on a first come, first served basis.

NewTown

Our third concert is sure to be a crowd favorite. Lexington’s own NewTown features the first-rate vocal and instrumental work of five of the finest musicians in Bluegrass who share a bond that combines individual virtuosity with a background of formal training. They’re considered one of the most exciting acts in contemporary Bluegrass.

Thursday, October 19th @ 6pm

We’ve got even more awesome concerts planned for 2018! Make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter so you don’t miss a single show.

This concert series is co-sponsored by our friends at PNC Bank. Next time you’re at their branches, tell them how much you appreciate their support for the performing arts.
